After completing her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Romance Studies, Nele took a gap year, which, after internships in Rabat and Brussels, brought her to Istanbul.  During her three-month internship at the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation, she developed a dossier on the interplay of tourism, environment and local communities. She is interested in international politics, languages & culture (and the intersections thereof) as well as environmental issues. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Studies at Sciences Po Grenoble in France.
