Tolga Demiryol is an associate professor of Political Science at Altınbaş University. He also serves as the Director of the Energy and Environment Research Center at the same institution. Demiryol received his Ph.D. degree in Political Science at the University of Virginia, specializing in international and comparative political economy. He is a former Fung Global Fellow at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies. He has published widely on theories of economic interdependence, Turkish foreign policy, regional cooperation, the political economy of development, and energy. His current research focuses on the geopolitics of infrastructure development and technological competition among major powers.
