Born in 1976 in Malatya, he studied at the Faculty of Law at Ankara University. In 999 he received a journalism scholarship from the UMAG Foundation. Starting with 2000, he has worked at the daily newspapers Radikal, Sabah, Vatan and Milliyet. Currently he is working at Cumhuriyet, mainly reporting on human rights and jurisdiction matters.
