Was born in 1981 in Hakkâri-Yüksekova and studied Communications and later did his graduate work in the Women Studies Department at Ankara University. Aktan has worked for the daily Birgün and Nokta, Newsweek Türkiye and Yeni Aktüel magazines and has served as the Ankara representative of IMC TV.
