Ido Sivan-Sevilla

Dr. Ido Sivan-Sevilla [homepage] is an Assistant Professor of information science at the University of Maryland. He measures and theorizes about the way our information society is governed, studying how technological change is challenging core policy concepts. With a background in both computer and social sciences, Ido focuses on the misfit between our policy systems and technological progress. In his work, Ido comparatively assesses the impact of cybersecurity, privacy, and machine bias problems on traditional core policy concepts such as government accountability, administrative enforcement, policy design, and state legitimacy.
