Gönül Karahanoğlu, Having graduated from the Deutsche Schule Istanbul in 1968 and Boğaziçi University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 1972, Karahanoğlu received her master’s degree from the same department in 1974. She graduated as an external student from Istanbul Atatürk Educational Institute, Department of German Language and worked at industrial corporations. Since 1994, she has been working in social projects and NGOs. She served KA.DER as secretary and then chairwoman of Board of Directors in the Kadıköy branch, and as KA.DER Board Member from 2012 – 2014 before becoming Chairwoman there.
