Gökhan Tan

was born in 1972 in Ankara. He started working as a journalist in 1993 while he was studying economics at the Middle East Technical University. He worked as a correspondent and editor for the magazines of Atlas and National Geographic. Many of his news and commentaries were published in national newspapers. He wrote for Radikal İki between the years 2010-2013. He reported news for BBC Turkey between the years 2013-2014. He mostly thinks and writes about the issues of cultural heritage, archeology, city, town planning and the media. He teaches journalism courses in the Department of Media at Bilgi University, where he began working as a lecturer in 2007.
