Esin Berktaş was born in Izmir in 1975. She graduated from the Department of Sociology at the Middle East Technical University, received a master’s degree from the Department of Graphic Design at Bilkent University and her Proficiency in Art from the Department of Cinema and TV at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. She has written several sociological essays and has translated work on world cinema and the cinema of Turkey. She is the author of the book 1940’lı Yılların Türk Sineması [The Turkish Cinema of 1940s] published by Agora Publishing. Currently, he teaches courses on cinema and art.
