Ertuğrul Mavioğlu spent 8 years in jail as political prisoner. In 1985 he started working as journalist at Hürriyet newspaper and graduated from the Marmara University in 1986. He worked in Yeni Çözüm magazine, and newspapers such as Yeni Politika, Evrensel, Radikal, Cumhuriyet, Yeni Biny›l and Milliyet. He is author of “Those Not Hanged but Fed” (2004), “The Epaulette Justice” (2005) and “Our Men Could Not Do It” (2008). Together with Ahmet Şık, he co-authored “40 Mules, 40 Cleavers” (2010). His recent book is entitled “Media in the Screw Press, Journalist in the Pot” (2012).
