Bülent Sık is a food engineer and has a PhD on environment friendly food analysis techniques. He worked for the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Animal Welfare from 1990 to 2009. Since 2009 he is lecturing in the Food Engineering Department of Akdeniz University on food safety, analysis of residues of toxic and chemical materials in food products and environment friendly chemical applications. He also serves as the technical director assistant in the Food Safety and Agricultural Researches Centre, which is being established within the premises of Akdeniz University.
