Bekir Ağırdır was born in 1956 in Denizli. In 1979 he graduated from the METU, Dept. of Management. During 1979-80 he worked at the information processing center of CHP. After 1980 he worked in the private sector, mainly in the informatics field. Between 2003-2005 he was the secretary general of History Foundation. Besides his current duties at KONDA, he is actively engaged in several NGOs.
