Aydin Engin

Aydın Engin; Since 1961, Engin has written many theatre acts and film scenarios. He was the “ghost writer” in many of Yılmaz Güney’s films. Having started journalism in 1969, Engin worked at most of the prominent newspapers in Istanbul. He was detained five times because of his writing and was imprisoned in military prisons. Mr. Engin lived in West Germany as a political refugee between 1980 and 1992. After his return he worked at Cumhuriyet newspaper; currently he is writing for T24 and working as a freelance journalist for foreign media agencies.
