An associate professor of political theory at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. She earned her Ph.D. in political science from Yale University, where she wrote her dissertation on Hannah Arendt’s political thought under the supervision of Seyla Benhabib. She held a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale’s MacMillan Center from 2010 to 2012, and in 2018–2019 she was a departmental guest at Princeton University’s Center for Human Values. Her research focuses on political theory, twentieth-century European political thought, the philosophy of Hannah Arendt, political ideologies, and democratic theory.
